Pardon my ignorance but uhhhhh how is this different than using the FADE function on any stereo made since the 80s?
I never knew that my mom’s 1986 Caravan was so ahead of it s time... You could do it with a joystick, don’t even need an infotainment system.

Innovation is not invention. It’s taking something that already exists and “improving” on it.

Where's the improvement part? Putting it in a menu?

Some would say so

Its a gimmick to sell to families. That fade joystick was the same one my grandma had in her ‘88 New Yorker.

Doug’ s the type of guy to call rebranding analog basics as digital features “innovative.”

Improvement is hiring Doug to ride shotgun and operate your stereo.

T he Dougster likes his gizmotron stuff... every body has their personal tastes I guess. H onestly seems like fluff, complicated enough so that it will never be used even on those few times somebody might have reason to use it....

I think the “innovation” part would be making it a convenient one-touch setting, like putting a memory position on your mom’s joystick. If it’s easier to do, you’re more likely to do it while driving without getting distracted, I suppose.

My mom’s Tempo had this too, I am pretty sure.
Doug sometimes strikes out when it comes to insight.

Except that is Apple’s definition of “invention”...
